Types of Memberships

Household Pool Membership: $375 + 8 hours of volunteer service Household Pool Membership: $475 no volunteer hours For households with at least 2 members Includes use of the pool all season, 5 guest passes, and participation in all Association-sponsored activities. Single/Senior Pool Membership: $190 + 8 hours of volunteer service Single/Senior Pool Membership: $240 no volunteer hours For households of 1 person OR 2 people if one is 60+ by June 30, 2026 Includes use of the pool all season, 5 guest passes, and participation in all Association-sponsored activities. Enjoy free Wi-Fi at the pool! I Support Wendwood Membership: $100 For households not interested in pool membership Help us beautify the neighborhood with landscaping projects and participate in any Association-sponsored activity outside of the pool. Add-ons, Fees, & Passes

Guest Add-ons: $50 each Add-ons allow Members to bring a different guest anytime they visit the pool. Great for bringing a friend, babysitter, neighbor, or more. Local Guests: $5 per guest per day Guests can be anyone living between a 1-mile and 50-mile radius of the pool. Neighbors within 1 mile do not qualify as local guests but can be a guest add-on. All guests must be accompanied by a current pool member. Non-local Guests: Free Guests beyond a 50-mile radius may attend for free. Must be accompanied by a current pool member. Guest Passes: $5 per pass OR $50 for 12 passes Passes can be purchased individually or in groups of 12 at the snack shack or online. Passes are added to your account and used at check-in.

Membership Cards & Sign In

Membership Cards Membership cards will be emailed as e-passes. Printed passes are available upon request. Sign-In Members must scan their card or e-pass at the check-in kiosk. Guest passes are managed through the system and may be purchased online or at the snack shack.

Swim Team

The Wendwood Wahoos compete in the GPSA White Division and are open to children included in a pool membership. Swim team fees are separate. Visit wendwoodwahoos.com for details.

Pool Season & Hours

The pool opens Memorial Day weekend and operates weekends until the regular season begins. The regular season runs June 11 through August 24 following Newport News Public Schools’ schedule. Anticipated Hours:

• Mondays: 11am – 4pm
• Tuesdays & Fridays: 11am – 10pm
• Wednesdays & Thursdays: 11am – 7pm
• Saturdays & Sundays: 12pm – 6pm

Hours may change due to events, attendance, and staffing.

Pool Parties & Rentals

Pool Rental Available for members only:

• Fridays & Saturdays: 7pm – 10pm
• Saturdays & Sundays: 9am – 12pm

Pool Rules & Regulations

• Obey lifeguards at all times
• Children under 12 must be supervised by someone 14+
• No running
• No rough play, spitting, or spouting
• Diving only in designated areas
• Swim diapers required if not potty trained
• No alcohol
• No smoking or vaping
• No glass
• No food or gum in the pool
• No pets
• No open wounds or contagious illness
• No inflatables when pool is full
• No jumping with inflatables
• No disruptive behavior

Management reserves the right to remove any member for unsafe or inappropriate behavior.
